The Anxiety Alliance is a charity dedicated to helping those suffering from anxiety. Anxiety is a surprisingly common condition, affecting an estimated 10% of the UK population at any one time, or more than 6 million people. We know it can be really hard to deal with, but you are not alone. We are here to help you. If
you suffer from any type of anxiety disorder, including:
- General Anxiety Disorder (GAD)
- a phobia
- panic attacks or
- Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD)
then Anxiety Alliance can give you advice and support.
We can also advise you about withdrawing from tranquillisers and anti-depressants.
This website will give you details of all the help we have available in order for you to regain control of your life, including self-help groups, factsheets and relaxation tapes and CDs (see left-hand menu).
